Members’ Meeting

March 7, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Typically during the winter months we schedule an event without a speaker – just a plain meeting for members. Snow storms have wrecked many a wintertime plan. Come with your warmth, your insights, and a sweet tooth.

All members are warmly invited as well as their interested guests. In the Learning Center of the Cary Memorial Library, Lexington, we will share desserts (bring a favorite) and tea at 6:30 pm and then share our thoughts about our local, our national, and our international AnthroposophicalTipping Point Society. In his letter at St. John’s time 2015, Torin Finser placed “Anthroposophy at the tipping point” where “Little Things Can Make a Big Difference” [M. Gladwell, The Tipping Point].

Has the esoteric Anthroposophical impulse played itself out after 100 years? The Eastern Region has ceased its operations. What do we make of the growth of the “daughter movements” while the mother, the Society itself, has had to cut its budget in half. What is its future? What imagination of our future Society lies in the hearts of its members? What is your imagination?
